Regional Sales Manager - Madhya Pradesh
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to drive sales, expand our dealer network, and build Henista's market presence across Madhya Pradesh. You will own the full commercial responsibility for the state, from distributor and dealer management to farmer-level demand generation.
This is a senior field role. The right candidate knows MP's vegetable seed market intimately, has existing relationships with key dealers and distributors, and has the drive to convert those relationships into consistent, growing revenue for a brand that is already gaining strong momentum.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and achieve monthly and seasonal sales targets for MP across Henista's chilli, tomato, and watermelon portfolio
- Manage and grow the existing dealer and distributor network across all key districts in MP
- Identify, appoint, and onboard new dealers in underpenetrated districts and tailor-made for Henista's variety mix
- Plan and execute farmer meetings, field days, and demonstration plot programs to build variety awareness at the ground level
- Work closely with the technical team to position varieties correctly by agro-climatic zone and cropping season
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and variety launches across the state and report market intelligence regularly
- Manage credit, collections, and scheme payouts in line with company policy
- Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics team to ensure seed availability ahead of sowing windows
- Represent Henista at state-level agri fairs, krishi melas, and trade events
Requirements
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Agriculture or a related field
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of sales experience in the vegetable or field crop seed industry
- Strong existing network of dealers, distributors, and progressive farmers across Madhya Pradesh
- Deep understanding of MP's cropping calendar, key vegetable belts, and district-level market dynamics
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a seed or agri-input company
- Ability to manage a large geography independently with strong self-discipline and planning
- Proficiency in Hindi and English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel extensively across the state, including remote agricultural districts
Nice to Have
- Prior experience selling F1 hybrid vegetable seeds, particularly chilli, tomato, or watermelon
- Familiarity with key chilli growing districts in MP including Khargone, Khandwa, and Nimar belt
