Trial Agronomist – Thailand

Henista Seeds is a vegetable seed company with a focused breeding program in tomato, chilli, and watermelon. With a growing portfolio of high-performance F1 hybrids and one of the fastest-expanding seed businesses in South Asia, we are now establishing our first trial presence in Southeast Asia to evaluate variety performance under regional growing conditions.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Field Development Agronomist to build and manage Henista's large-scale farmer trial program in northern Thailand. You will identify and engage serious commercial growers, establish demonstration and evaluation plots at a meaningful scale, and generate real-world performance data on Henista varieties under Thai growing conditions.

This role sits at the intersection of agronomy and business development. The right person understands crops deeply, knows how to earn the trust of large farmers, and can represent a new seed brand credibly in a competitive market.

- Identify and engage large-scale commercial farmers in Chiang Mai and surrounding regions as trial cooperators for tomato, chilli, and watermelon
- Negotiate and set up trial agreements covering plot size, crop management, data sharing, and inputs
- Oversee trial execution at the farm level, ensuring agronomic practices are consistent and data is reliable
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor crop progress, document performance, and support farmers through the trial cycle
- Record and report structured performance data including yield, fruit quality, disease pressure, and marketability
- Build strong, ongoing relationships with key farmer cooperators as the face of Henista in Thailand
- Coordinate with the India team on variety selection, seed supply, trial design, and reporting timelines
- Represent Henista at local agri trade events, farmer meetings, and seed exhibitions
